Jan Dirk van Beusekom, of BNP Paribas, kicked off the day with a keynote on the rapid industry changes and how they affect treasurers.

The list of speakers for the conference should guarantee a rewarding and insightful full day. Yara’s head of funding Liv Bergh, Lundbeck’s group treasury director Markus Kede and DNB’s chief blockchain strategist Lasse Meholm were but three of the many senior participants.

The day is moderated by Torodd Eeg-Olsen, vice president and head of treasury and risk management at shipping company Klaveness.

Starting broad

General overviews of hot topics and macro landscapes set a backdrop for the more specific issues. Diversification of funding is matter for one session, another looks at the career path from finance specialist to CFO.

Digital transformation was to get plenty of attention. Lasse Meholm’s keynote is on a batch of hot digital trends, and Jan Schiffner of Telenor will discuss just how treasury can assist the digital journey.

Getting scary

Sensitive participants should be warned that just after lunch, software engineer Marit Iren Rognli Tokle will be attempting a live hack using a bank application.

The full program is found here. Most sessions are in Norwegian.
