World’s treasurer salaries revealed – in Helsinki
If your base salary is any other number than 159.738 euro per year, you are not the world’s average deputy treasurer. In the final session of Treasury 360° Helsinki on Tuesday, Mike Richards and Katie Hardie of The Treasury Recruitment Company shared detailed statistics of his company’s global salary survey which builds on answers from 500 professionals.

Okay, any salary figure needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. Positions and responsibilities differ, so do benefit schemes and tax regimes. Nevertheless, the averages of The Global Treasury Salary Survey show some interesting patterns.
A striking feature is the vast distance between high and low salaries on virtually all responsibility levels and in all regions. But with the high number of respondents, the averages of total compensation are coming out fairly consistent across the world – though often with North America tops.
Many numbers of this year’s freshly released report were presented in the session – though the only way to get across the full report is to take part as a respondent oneself.
